Marketing Coordinator, Canadian Multi-Family

Overview

 

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Canadian Multi-Family division in the development and implementation of all building specific marketing programs. The candidate will assist in the creation and execution of all marketing programs including but not limited to; content and design creation, direct online marketing, social media platforms and associated marketing administration.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Upload marketing material to online libraries, internet groups
  • Execute asset level marketing plans for the full portfolio (including lease-ups)
  • Responsible for production and implementation of property level handouts, brochures, marketing materials, referral programs and electronic marketing materials to promote buildings
  • Responsible for branding, marketing related signage, outdoor media, print and all online, including: monthly contracts, google ads, SEO, SMO, increasing tenant testimonials/reviews, retargeting and geotargeting to promote the properties
  • Responsible for planning and monitoring the marketing budget, review the property management spend per lease and report to asset management
  • Monitor all Property Management Company phone calls, identify opportunities for training and escalate any concerns to the Director of Marketing
  • Review Property Management websites and provide feedback to Asset Management
  • Review Property Management advertising and provide feedback to Asset Management
  • Complete and coordinate Mystery Shops and property visits for existing buildings through in house or third-party providers on an as needed basis, escalate concerns
  • Provide marketing tracking and research information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends
  • Assist with standard application and move-in packages
  • Conduct market research and analysis for existing properties
  • Develop a network of connections with relocation agencies
  • Stay apprised of marketing and leasing trends in the multi-family industry
  • Manage external marketing agencies as directed
  • Update the Starlight website (asset level changes only)
  • Develop site specific resident retention programs and conduct an annual tenant survey where requested by Asset Management
  • Model suites and inventory of items for new and existing portfolio
  • Set-up/review Property Management leasing offices new build and existing
  • Creation of industry related marketing initiatives (FRPO award submissions etc
  • P.O creation, vendor invoice processing and tracking
  • Arrange site level photography
  • Ongoing departmental administrative support 

Requirements

  • College diploma or University degree in Marketing or Communications
  • Three (3) years of direct work experience in a similar role or in a professional services / consulting company
  • Strong communication, copy writing, editing and content management skills
  • Strong computer proficiency of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Precise and accurate attention to detail
  • Experience with social media platforms, primarily LinkedIn. Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential
  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
  • Excellent teamwork and team building skills
  • Previous experience in handling confidential or sensitive information
  • Strong project management, time-management and organizational skills
  • High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion
  • Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is considered an asset
  • Experience working with vendors, outside agencies and creative consulting firms
