Project Coordinator, Development

Overview

The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Development Team on a range of new development projects which range from low-rise to high-rise developments in a variety of municipal contexts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with (i) the determination of development potential and (ii) investigation of existing permissions on subject sites by collecting pertinent policy (OP, Zoning By-law, Provincial Policy docs, Fee schedules, municipal by-laws, etc.), surrounding applications and locational information
  • Prepare and track Request for Proposals and provide comparative analysis on submitted proposals as needed
  • Assist with the organization of external community and tenant meetings
  • Track various agreements with municipalities and external agencies
  • Review municipal and consultant drawings and reports for completeness and to ensure specified criteria are being addressed
  • Summarize reports and policies at the request of the development managers
  • Assist with project related printing, file management and file sharing including Sharepoint
  • Assist with presentations as required
  • Ability to synthesize information to efficiently address the purpose of the task at hand
  • Willingness to learn and positive attitude towards others and scope of work
  • Attend meetings and produce agenda and minutes including action items for timely circulation to the project team
  • Assist with the maintenance of project schedules and updates to projected timelines
  • Assistance in the delivery and pick up of plans, permits, deposits is required

Requirements

  • Degree in Planning or Related Field
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project would be an asset
  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle is preferable
