Duties and Responsibilities
  • Project manage the interior design of each new multi-family and mixed-use projects from start to finish including consultant and third party engagement, conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documentation 
  • Responsible for interacting with internal asset management for approvals, leading consultants and internal teams, overseeing the development of contract documents, adhering to budgets, facilitating contracts, construction site representation and project closeout
  • Develop and refine Design Guidelines for internal and external review
  • Develop and coordinate detailed design concepts, to meet project-design criteria
  • Able to effectively review preliminary space plans and designs concepts to ensure code, accessibility and functional requirements are met
  • Able to make decisions and develop solutions to technical and design problems
  • Contact vendors, order samples, collect and document pricing and lead times
  • Coordinate interior architectural design plans, work with project teams to develop interior materials & finish specifications
  • Liaise with architects and trades, communicate design ideas by verbal, written, sketches, 3D perspectives and other illustrative and communication tools
  • Review tender drawing and spec packages and document contemplated changes, site instruction, and change orders
  • Assist with the procurement and selection of materials to ensure no delay in the construction process
  • Ensure material selection and installation is of the highest quality
Requirements
  • Real Estate Developer or Architectual Firm on Multi-Family and Mixed-Use Projects experience and asset
  • 3-5 years of experience with a focus on the residential sector
  • Strong ability in AutoCAD, Photoshop, In-Design, Sketchup and Revit skills
  • Self initiative and detailed follow through
  • Ability to present ideas and concepts successfully to multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline driven environment
  • Great teamwork skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Education/ Designations/ Licenses: 

  • An industry recognized Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or related field is required
  • Active Membership in relevant industry associations is an asset
