Analyst, Asset Management & Budgeting

Overview

The Analyst will be responsible for the output and analysis of portfolio-wide operational and financial reporting, assisting in the preparation of annual operating budgets, consolidating due diligence materials for property dispositions/​financing, tracking of capital expenditures, and other ad-hoc projects as required. Experience in real estate or a related field would be considered an asset. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consolidate and analyze financial data for reporting and operational metrics tracking
  • Create, assemble and edit presentations for managers and senior management 
  • Assist in the preparation of weekly reporting and prepare any other reporting reasonably requested from time to time
  • Assist in completing value added portfolio level analysis to identify key operational trends, areas of improvement, and actionable intelligence
  • Work closely with Asset Managers to help facilitate decision making
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly reports, annual budget presentations and other reporting as requested for stakeholders 
  • Assist with acquisitions, dispositions, financing and other transactions and co-ordination of such due diligence activities as necessary
  • Assist with any other portfolio ad-hoc reporting/​project as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration or similar education
  • Excellent computer skills with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience with Anaplan, Yardi and/​or VBA considered an asset
  • Outstanding reporting and presentation skills
  • Professional, flexible and client focused with strong relationship building and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to obtain results in a highly demanding environment
  • Ability to multi-task and manage tight deadlines
  • Good common sense and business acumen
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships
