Starlight Capital is seeking a high-performing Associate Portfolio Manager to join the Diversified Equities Team, currently managing the Starlight Dividend Growth Class and Starlight North American Equity Fund. This role will contribute to portfolio construction, risk management and alpha generation in both portfolios. We are looking for an accountable decision-maker to take ownership of the investment management process.

This role will contribute to both portfolio management and support our National Distribution team with their asset gathering objectives. The successful candidate will be self-driven, collaborative, and capable of thriving in a collegial, high-performance environment.

Please note that Starlight Capital staff are in the office five days per week.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end investment analysis process for two North American equity mandates
  • Collaborate with other Investment Team members for due diligence and investment analysis
  • Drive alpha through differentiated, high-conviction stock selection and portfolio risk-management

Research Edge

  • Develop proprietary insights through fundamental bottom-up analysis
  • Engage with management teams, analysts, and alternative data sources
  • Translate macro and geopolitical developments into actionable ideas and positioning

Client Impact

  • Serve as a key face of the strategies with Advisors and clients
  • Clearly articulate performance, positioning, and outlook
  • Partner with distribution to support asset growth and retention
  • Contribute to thought leadership and media presence

Requirements

  • 3+ year buyside track record in North American equities
  • CFA Charterholder or in process
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a competitive drive to perform
  • Excellent communication and client-facing presence
