Toronto – September 23, 2024 – Last week, Starlight Investments (“Starlight”) marked another successful Impact Day for the second year. This pivotal initiative took place on September 20^th where hundreds of Starlight employees came together to volunteer at local charities and community initiatives across the Greater Toronto Area, Vancouver and Victoria. 

Impact Day is a manifestation of Starlight’s core values and commitment to creating a tangible, positive impact on local neighborhoods and contributing to a better future for all communities where the company operates and beyond. Starlight team members rallied together, volunteering at diverse charities across many areas and sectors including social housing and social services, food security, and environmental conservation – supporting numerous community members. 

This year, Starlight partnered with 18 charities which included the Toronto Humane Society, Second Harvest, Haven on the Queensway, Habitat for Humanity, Women’s Habitat, Fred Victor, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, The Stop, WoodGreen, Kits For A Cause, FoodShare, Ve’ahavta, SHIP, Knights Table, The Mustard Seed Street Church, Union Gospel Mission, Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, and The 519.

Throughout the day, Starlight teams contributed over one thousand volunteer hours to these charities and causes. This event, now cemented as an annual initiative, illustrates the power of aligning corporate values with action and providing employees with opportunities to participate in their organization’s community giving activities.
