Vancouver – March 28, 2025 –Starlight Investments (“Starlight”) is pleased to announce a new partnership to support the impactful work of Burnaby-based Odd Squad Productions Society. A $25,000 donation was presented by Starlight on March 27, 2025, at the Burnaby Builder Showcase at the Michael J. Fox Theatre among community leaders and hundreds of attendees.
Odd Squad Productions Society (“OSP”) is a registered not-for-profit organization that was created in 1997 by a group of Vancouver police officers. Their goal is to empower youth to make positive life choices through education, sport and volunteerism. Today, OSP delivers prevention programs for youth in BC’s Lower Mainland, across Canada, and around the world.
“We are honoured to support Odd Squad and the impactful work it is doing each day to empower youth to build positive lives,” said David Woo, Vice President, Development at Starlight Investments. “At Starlight we are passionate about supporting efforts to build strong communities and it is our aim to help further Odd’s Squad’s long-standing and life-changing programs.”
To strengthen the partnership between the two organizations, proposed activities for 2025 include Starlight staff attending and supporting OSP events and community service work, as well as a platinum sponsorship of OSP’s annual Odd Seasonal fundraiser in November, and more.
“As a Burnaby-based charity that relies on fundraising to deliver critically important prevention programs to hundreds of Lower Mainland youth, we are extremely thankful for the community partnership and great support from Starlight Investments,” said Ret. Sgt. Mark Steinkampf, Executive Director, Odd Squad Productions Society.
