Development Coordinator, West Coast, Canadian Multi-Family


The Development Coordinator will work closely with the Development Team on a range of new development projects which range from residential low-rise to high-rise and mixed-use developments in a variety of municipal contexts.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with (i) the due diligence, feasibility analysis and determination of development potential and (ii) investigation of existing permissions on subject sites by collecting pertinent policy (OP, Zoning By-law, Provincial Policy docs, Fee schedules, municipal by-laws, etc.), surrounding applications and locational information
  • Assist in the preparation and tracking of Request for Proposals and provide comparative analysis on submitted proposals as needed
  • Assist with the organization and coordination of external community and tenant meetings
  • Track various development agreements with municipalities and external agencies
  • Review and manage the release of Letters of Credit and other development related securities
  • Review technical drawings and reports prior to submission to the municipality and agency for completeness and to ensure specified criteria are being addressed
  • Summarize reports and policies at the request of the Development team
  • Assist with project related presentations, printing, file management and file sharing including Sharepoint
  • Attend meetings and produce agenda and minutes including action items for timely circulation to the project team
  • Assist with the maintenance of project schedules and updates to projected timelines
  • Assistance in the delivery and pick up of plans, permits, deposits is required
  • Able to prioritize and handle multiple development projects and a diversified workload under short timeframes
  • Minimum of 3 years related development experience
  • Degree in Engineering, Planning or Related Field
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project and Powerpoint
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well organized, ability to effectively multi-task and have good attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle is preferable
