Toronto – January 16, 2014 – Starlight Investments Ltd. (“Starlight”) is proud to announce that Larisa Yurkiw has successfully qualified for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Yurkiw qualified with a career-best sixth-place finish in Saturday’s downhill in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, Austria.
Yurkiw, from Owen Sound, Ontario, was required to finish in the top twelve twice during the 2013 – 2014 FIS Downhill World Cup season in order to qualify for a nomination to Canada’s Olympic team and followed up a seventh- place finish in the season-opening downhill in Lake Louise, Alberta with a strong performance in Saturday’s race in Austria. Starlight is thrilled to have been a part of Larisa’s quest to qualify for the 2014 Winter Olympics.
