Toronto – June 21, 2013 – The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation’s (PMCF) inaugural Journey to Conquer Cancer Walk or Run has raised more than $1 million to be put towards over 60 areas of the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
Member of Parliament Olivia Chow and more than 2,500 participants walked by the Princess Margaret in the Journey’s inaugural year, which offers family friendly 5 km, 3 km, and 1km route options.

Runners and Walkers in The Journey to Conquer Cancer Walk or Run completed their journey around the Queens Park loop, and were cheered on by hundreds of spectators and volunteers.

The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation at University Health Network raises funds for Personalized Cancer Medicine at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and its research arm, the Ontario Cancer Institute, which now includes The Campbell Family Cancer Research Institute and The Campbell Family Institute for Breast Cancer Research. www.thepmcf.ca
