Toronto — July 18, 2016 — Starlight Investments Ltd. (“Starlight”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Raj Mehta as Global Head, Private Capital & Partnerships. Mr. Mehta has spent over 20 years in the financial services sector and has been recognized as a leader in capital markets, mergers & acquisitions and private equity transactions involving global institutional investors. Mr. Mehta’s background is ideally suited to help grow assets under management and expand Starlight’s asset management platform across North America in the multi-family and commercial real estate sectors.
Mr. Mehta has spent the last 12 years with Goldman Sachs International in London, England. In his most recent role, Mr. Mehta led the firm’s investment banking efforts with sovereign wealth and pension fund clients and previously co-led the private equity group within Goldman Sachs’ European Capital Markets platform. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Mr. Mehta held senior leadership roles at 724 Solutions Inc. and Deloitte Consulting where he was based in Toronto, New York and London. Mr. Mehta holds an International Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
