Starlight Investments Ltd. “Starlight” is proud to support the CURE Foundation National Denim Day 2015 in support of the fight against breast cancer.
In May 1997, the CURE Foundation initiated the National Denim Day, which takes place every year on the Tuesday after Mother’s Day. Companies, organizations and Canadian institutions are encouraged to allow their employees, their members or students to wear denim and receive a ribbon “pink flower” in support of this worthy cause. According to the Canadian Cancer Society, approximately 24,400 women and 210 men were diagnosed and 5,060 people died from the disease in 2014.
Starlight’s support of National Denim Day began on May 4th, 2015 with awareness messages aired on CFRB 1010 AM Radio for seven days. Participation in this event will enable the Foundation to continue its efforts to improve the outcome for those affected by breast cancer, through the purchase of equipment, and the funding of research, education and awareness across Canada.
