Toronto – January 21 , 2014 – Starlight Investments Ltd. (“Starlight”) is proud to announce its corporate sponsorship of The Canadian Basketball Academy (“CBA”). In addition to its financial contribution, starting on January 18, 2014, Starlight employees began actively participating in the CBA’s eight-week house league program geared towards 7 – 16 year olds.
The CBA is an organization that provides less fortunate children an opportunity to participate in organized sports league while developing essential tools to succeed in life, such as self-confidence and social responsibility. The CBA combines children from Canada’s lower income families and those from affluent families alike. Their vision is to reach beyond economic, social and racial boundaries to connect people from every walk of life.
Through donations and active participation, the CBA is able to provide its programs to lower income children, including bus rides to and from basketball facilities, a full balanced breakfast and snacks, coaching, mentoring and team jerseys.
