Toronto – June 26, 2020 – On June 25th, the Canadian Federation of Apartment Associations (“CFAA”) hosted its annual CFAA Rental Housing Awards Program. Each year, members of CFAA, or its regional apartment associations, honour businesses and individuals who demonstrate excellence in Canada’s rental housing industry. Due to restrictions caused by COVID-19, this year’s awards program was held virtually. Starlight Investments (“Starlight”) was the proud recipient of the Renovation of the Year – Common Area award for 1475 Bloor Street located in Mississauga, Ontario. Starlight was nominated for six awards in total: Renovation of the Year – Full Building for 2 Regal Road; Renovation of the Year – Full Building for 50 Burnhill Road; Renovation of the Year – Common Area for 1475 Bloor Street; Renovation of the Year – Common Area for 2737 & 2757 Kipling Avenue; Renovation of the Year – Suite for 3781 Princess Avenue; and On-Site Employee of the Year for Ethel Parsons, Site Superintendent at 22 & 40 Bedros Lane.
The Renovation of the Year award recognizes a company who has achieved excellence in the renovation of an existing rental housing building or a building being converted into a rental building. This award is judged on the overall creativity, value for money and functionality of the renovated area or building.
