Digital Manager, Marketing


The Digital Marketing Manager will provide the overall leadership for the proactive development and implementation of Lead Generation and Digital + Social Media marketing to support a diverse portfolio of residential real estate assets and communication related activities. The position's scope spans from maintaining current online properties, monitoring integrations with business systems, delivery of new functional improvements, owning solution roadmaps, and reporting on key performance indicators to stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of various digital projects, including website launches, online tools, web applications, and online advertising campaigns
  • Oversee and manage all paid lead generation channels, campaigns and reporting including but not limited to paid search, Google, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Quora, YouTube, content syndication, account-based marketing, and other digital channels
  • Monitor and evaluate campaign performance and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to ensure KPIs are met and actional insights are derived 
  • Continually optimize campaigns, audiences, creative, and copy to ensure cost per lead is in line with the ROI goals in conjunction with agencies
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and Asset Managers to develop a strong feedback loop and ensure marketing qualified leads progress in the funnel
  • Creating original social media content for organic and paid efforts, with an in-depth knowledge of social media platforms, tools, and trends
  • Provide a problem solving and point of escalation technical support function. Work with Starlight IT and agencies to ensure data flows, triggers are accurate. Troubleshoot collaboratively when necessary.
  • Assist in building and deploying marketing campaigns such as omni-channel journey, email blasts, mobile app pushes, SMS communications, or other targeted marketing messaging and reporting on campaign performance
  • Collaborate with other groups (e.g. Human Resources, Investor Relations) to contribute to the success of cross-functional projects and digital marketing initiatives
  • Contribute to marketing campaign strategy and lease-up by bringing a deep understanding of digital platforms, consumer behaviour data and analytics
  • Collaborate with team to support product launches, regional marketing activities, sponsorship and community engagement efforts in a digital capacity 


  • University degree at the Bachelor level, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 4-6 years of digital marketing experience, with B2C experience
  • In-depth knowledge of social advertising (Facebook Ad Manager), including experience executing and evaluating paid digital campaigns either independently or with an agency partner
  • Experience writing effective digital advertising, website, and email copy
  • Experience marketing Real Estate is preferred
  • Previous agency experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of SEO/SEM, Google Analytics, and social scheduling/tracking tools such as Hootsuite or others

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Flash, Spark) is preferred
  • A skilled implementer, with a focus on making strategy come alive through good execution
  • Experience working with agencies, and managing internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Proven project management skills - managing multiple projects/initiatives including creating, deploying, and monitoring email campaigns; automation experience considered an asset
  • Strong business acumen and data-driven decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to think critically, strategically, and creatively to leverage best practices and enable solutions that lead to action
  • A strong understanding of how to use data as fuel to drive results
  • Team player, excellent consensus building skills with high degree of motivation and desire to collaborate with others
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, high-pressure, fast-paced situations, flexible with changing direction and prioritization, and proficient at managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Results-oriented with a solid track record of making an impact, developing and executing on strategies and delivering superior results
  • Ability to proactively resolve problems and manage conflict/negotiate positively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
