Manager, Due Diligence


Reporting to the Director of Investments, the Manager, Investment Due Diligence is responsible for due diligence and aspects of the underwriting process on acquisitions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage output from 3rd party consultants (i.e. Property Condition Assessments, Environmental Assessments, Contract Quotes, etc.)
  • Prepare and analyze investment data for strategic review by the Director of Investments and other Executives
  • Coordinate due diligence on acquisitions, ensuring that due diligence is completed and incorporated into our underwriting in an accurate and timely manner
  • Manage schedules and timelines for completion of tasks related to acquisitions
  • Work with the Investments, Asset Management and Capital Expenditures teams to finalize underwriting assumptions pre-acquisition and coordinate a hand-off meeting to review and communicate all due diligence findings and business plan
  • Coordinate, review and consolidate 3rd party consultants for annual appraisal cycles for institutional investors
  • Identify, develop and execute on other initiatives as requested by the Director of Investments
  • University degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering or similar education
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience (preferably in a real estate environment)
  • Client focused, have strong relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a results-oriented environment
  • Must have strong MS Office and advanced Excel skills
