Reporting to the VP, Finance - U.S. Multi-Family, the successful candidate will be dedicated to leading the financial management of two separate publicly listed vehicles comprising ~$1.0B of multi-family residential buildings in targeted high-growth markets in the Southern United States (~3,000 units). Primary responsibilities include review and analysis of property financials, quarterly investor reporting (including drafting FS, press release and MD&A), delivering strong business results by working with our asset management and investments teams, assistance with tax compliance, oversight of internal controls framework, process improvement initiatives as well as overseeing the ongoing cash and debt management of the portfolio by working closely with the VP, Finance and treasury function.
The role includes one direct report who will assist in the execution of your responsibilities and indirect oversight over the U.S. Corporate Accounting Team which includes 4-5 designated CPA’s. Starlight is a transactional company and you will be a key member of the finance team and contributor to the success of the business through the execution of your responsibilities and acting as a key team member for significant transactions including involvement in financing, acquisitions or dispositions related to the Starlight U.S. public entities.
